Flying

The Reno-Tahoe International Airport is, at about 25 miles away, the closest major airport to the race site. Those flying into airports on the California side (Sacramento or SF Bay area) will need to budget considerably more transit time. Rental car services are available at all of these airports.

Closest airports:
Reno-Tahoe International Airport (~25 miles / 50 mins)

Sacramento International Airport (~115 miles / 2 hours)

San Francisco International Airport (~210 miles / 3.5 hours)

Oakland International Airport (~200 miles / 3.25 hours)

Note for Cargo Vans:

There are a limited number of cargo vans in the Enterprise fleet for the area (about 10). So book early in order to reserve a cargo van. Cargo van reservations at the Enterprise branch at Reno-Tahoe International Airport have to be made by calling that branch directly as cargo vans are not an option online at this location. Call 775-325-3977 between 7:30a-12p, chose option 5, and ask for LaRoyshia, one of the managers. Tell her that you are a participant in the Collegiate Mountain Bike National Championships and have the group account number, 23A3330. Cargo vans can be rented online at other Reno locations and mostly likely at a cheaper rate than what would be charged at the airport branch.

Minivans with stow-and-go seats (second and/or third row seats fold into the floor) are available. To guarantee your minivan reservation will include stow-and-go seats, call the Reno Airport branch (775-325-3977) 7:30a-12p and ask for LaRoyshia (use the same group account number as above). She can specially reserve minivans with your credit card number. Enterprise usually doesn’t have a cancellation policy, but in this case there is one and you will be charged if you cancel this stow-and-go minivan. Ask about the details of this cancellation policy when you make the reservation.
